Empowering Education for Ugandan Children
Educational Support and Resources
Working with schools forms one of the cornerstones of our ministry as we help to improve facilities and give school children a good working environment and a stimulus to good performance and attendance.
Facilities & Challenges
Overcoming Educational Barriers
Many of our schools are in a poor state of repair due to the lack of funding for most important items such as roof preservation with red oxide paint.
Windows and doors are sometimes not available and a lightening arrester is an absolute must. We know schools where lightening has struck and no arrester was funded and valuable young lives were lost.
Some schools have floors just made of earth and make concentration by the children almost impossible.
Joy & Basic Needs
It is very rural and very basic and children sing and dance with sheer delight when they receive a pen and exercise book.
They all are most happy to look smart so funds are needed for school uniforms which their families cannot provide.
Motivation & Enrichment
In the main children are keen to learn and improve themselves and we feel called to help them. Children are besotted with a game of football so a football and shirt is received as a blessing from God.
Wherever we have worked to improve facilities and motivate our children we have seen an increase in attendance and performance. A happy child is a motivated child and this is our aim and over a period of time we have seen marvellous results with school teachers and other professions being created as a direct result of our intervention. There are so many ways you can help us to reach out to those who need help.
