Canon Rachel Harris
Canon Rachel Harris has been a pivotal figure in the Friends of North Kigezi Diocese since 2010, initially serving as a Regional Coordinator for the South East of England. Her exemplary leadership and commitment led to her appointment as Chair of Trustees in 2012. Under her guidance, the charity has flourished, expanding its reach and impact. Rachel’s dedication to the cause is further recognized by her installation as Lay Canon of Emmanuel Cathedral, Kinyasano, Rukungiri, a prestigious honor in the Church of Uganda. Her life’s work reflects her unwavering commitment to supporting deprived children and fostering community development.
Committed through seeing the impact of over 10 years of support.
Rachel is a remarkable and talented lady with her early years spent working in care homes looking after deprived children this being her calling to look after deprived children who cannot care for themselves.
Somehow she finds time to coordinate the activities of FNKD visiting the project twice a year and give inspirational presentations to interested groups when home and also talking to large congregations in Uganda.
